Buddha Little Thinker

Most toys are pretty shallow. Barbie might be doing yoga now, but she's still an airhead. Ken never read anything deeper than GQ, and Mr. Potato Head's practically a vegetable. But thanks to the Little Thinker Buddha Doll, you can now bring some enlightenment to your toy collection. This adorable, roly-poly Buddha stands... er, sits about 8 inches high. He wears a soft red robe that's cut low enough to see The Enlightened One's navel. His expression is one of total bliss, something you'll experience yourself when you remove him from the shipping box and hug him for the first time.

BUDDHA (6th - 4th Century BCE)
The term Buddha is not a name, but a title meaning 'enlightened one.' The historical Buddha was born a prince in Northern India. He renounced his luxurious lifestyle in search of enlightenment and after seven years of asceticism, study, and meditation, he achieved it. Our Buddha is Maitreya -- a future reincarnation of the Buddha -- also known as the laughing Buddha. The tradition is to rub his belly for good luck and prosperity.

Title: Buddha
I used to buy three of these guys at a time and give them away as gifts. I even got the little guy tattooed on my ankle. The serene, contented little face makes everyone smile. But, I am sad to say that the last three I ordered were terrible. They don't look the same anymore at all. The proportions on the face are different and they are just not cute to me at all. I sent them back to you guys and then you sent me three more that looked just as un-cute. You have definitely changed something about the manufacture of the Buddha and I don't like the new ones. If you look at your records, you'll see I've probably ordered 20 Buddhas from you in the past, but have stopped because I am not satisfied with the new ones. I hope you make them look like they use to!

A wonderful addition to my daughter's little thinker collection. She has many little thinkers of the world great religions but this one is her favorite. He's extremely huggable.

Title: for more than just the monkey brain
I gave this to my Baby-boom age sister, who has out-Voltaired Voltaire, cramming her house with so many religious symbols of so many different faiths that she may find herself ironically in hell for having set them all up against each other. Oh, the Buddha doll. It's cute. But I haven't heard from my sister since I sent it, so . . . . hm.
