Disappearing TARDIS Mug

This mug was excellent...until my roommate put it in the dishwasher, despite warnings to the contrary. Still works, but the design has peeled visibly.

I received a mug as a gift, but it was cracked inside and leaked water. I contacted customer service and they immediately sent a new one! It arrived today and I immediately made tea and watched the TARDIS disappear on one side, then reappear on the other! Also, the mug LOOKS small, but it's actually BIGGER ON THE INSIDE!!

Lovely images, but started to peel, though I've only ever hand-washed it. Still fun to use, but I dearly wish it wasn't peeling.

I bought this for a friend of my son's. My son is 16 and flipped when he saw it in the catalogue. I can't surprise him often, so I was pleased. I am a major fan of all the Phil Guild's heat sensitive mugs. Just keep them in a place where they won't get accidentally put in the dishwasher--that's an unrecoverable error!

This slightly larger-than-average mug is a great way to get the day started. It's gotten all of my coworkers to stop by just to watch the Tardis appear in space. And since I don't have a dishwasher at work, the fact that it isn't dishwasher safe isn't a problem.

My co-workers are very impressed.

Although it is an amazing gift for your avid doc who fan there is a malfunction to the cup that made me sad, when prior I was all smiles while drinking my morning coffee from it. The lovely design on the cup can easily peel off if left in hot water for more than a minute. It is very unfortunate that my gorgeous tardis filled sky is slowly falling off my cup.

you do need to fill the cup all the way to the top for the tardis to disappear properly and it is a rather large mug but it's a disappearing tardis cup! so suck it up and drink huge cups of warm beverages. brilliant mug. i love it!

This item was added to your website just before my boyfriend's birthday. It made a great gift in addition to the other nerdy trinkets I bought him, and it got here days early!

LOVE this mug! I got one as a gift for a friend, and couldn't help but get myself one as well. I love watching the TARDIS "move" while drinking my morning coffee or cocoa. I wish I could microwave it or put it in the dishwasher just for convenience, but it is worth it to take that extra care for such a cool mug.

Bought this to replace one that has lost its disappearing quality. My husband loves Doctor Who and this is just perfect.

My dad is a huge Doctor Who fan and I got this for him for Christmas and he loves it. I did put in the cons that it's not dishwasher safe but I understand because if you did the picture would probably start to peel off

Purchased as a gift and quite happy with it.

it wasn't soaked in water like the directions say and a corner on each side came off on each side of the mug, anyway. so i told me son to wash and dry it as he gets it dirty and it has worked much better. i wouldnt recomend it to any one because it peeled to easliy.

I bought it as a gift for my girlfriend - and one for myself ;) we both love it! It has a real nice size. It fits perfect under her coffee-machine and holds a big amount of coffee. Only the fact that you can't (shouldn't) wash it in the dishwasher is a con. But we use it everyday - so to wash it by hand is more efficient.

I purchased this for a fellow "Who" fanatic, and now absolutely MUST have one for my own enjoyment. I will, though, have to remember to keep it from being loaded into the dishwasher, since I am not the only person in our home who deals with the dishes.

Little did I know when I purchased this mug that my father would find a way to use it as an instrument of torture. Every morning that he makes his tea things go a little like this: *kettle whistles, dad pours hot water over tea* Dad: *Making whooshing noises* Oh my goodness, the Police Box disappeared! Me: *grunt* (I'm not fully awake yet) Dad: Where could it have gone? It was here a second ago, now the street is empty! Me: *muttering* Turn the %^$*NG mug dad Dad: Oh, there it is, in hyperspace. Wonder where the doctor is off to this time? Me: *rolling eyes* Yes, I would recommend this product, but only if you're willing to put up with this every morning.

The mugs in question are on backorder and have not arrived yet, however, this order is to replace an earlier purchase of the same mugs that were ruined by a "helpful" dinner guest who unknowingly put them in the dishwasher, destroying the image.
